Creating A Culture
of Kindness and Peace
What does it mean to create a culture of kindness and peace? What does culture mean?
The DISCovering Me & You Creating a Culture of Kindness & Peace Digital PDF Workbook and Teaching Guide has been designed for changing a bullying culture, to one of kindness and peace. A culture where conflict is resolved in a peaceful way and differences of style are valued.
How would you and others feel if it was possible? Once readers have completed the exercises in this book, they will know the answers to these questions and will also know how to create a culture of kindness and peace, and how to intervene when they experience bullying behaviours. Included is a Q&A online webinar to answer all your questions, so that you can easily guide the reader through the workbook. This resource is perfect for a homeschooling parent, or teacher wanting to develop a more kind and caring classroom culture.
These DISCovering Me and You materials can be used either for delivering an online or classroom style workshop, or at home when teaching home schooled children. Children who complete the workbook will learn all about what observable behaviour is and what makes up their DISC personality style.
The also learn a new language to describe the way they do things. And they will find out what motivates them to do what they do sometimes. Children are given the opportunity to learn about and develop four human qualities or character virtues - courage, friendliness, patience, and integrity.
Children will also learn about the ABC system for developing a more optimistic view of the world. Or put another way for seeing the glass half full of water all the time instead of half empty!
The Teaching Guide includes background reading, how to facilitate the workshop, student assessment process, student reflection sheet and session plans. The Mini Me Survey (questionnaire) can be used by the teacher to identify each child's DISC style.
